I have bid on a part for a tractor and won it 10 days ago.
I haven't paid yet as I contacted the seller several times to add insurance as well as he is called 1001parts and he has sold 1000's. I wanted to buy more and combine shipping. ---- he won't reply.
I have emailed him several times and since he won't respond I am questioning wth is going on.
I don't want to get on bad standing with ebay that I don't pay, I usually would pay with in 5 mins of winning.
If I report him to ebay he will be pissed with me and not sell me other parts I need possibly.
Not sure what to do.
Ideas?
Anyone ever have any problems similar

I've never had a problem buying or selling on E-bay but if it was me I'd contact him again and tell him if you don't hear back from him within a certain time period you're gonna give him a bad rating.
Have you dealt with this guy before? Maybe something happened that he can't get on, like maybe he's in the hospital or something. But most e-bay sellers have someone that can get on their account to handle their business if something happens to them. Deb can get on mine if something would happen to me.
If you've done business with this guy before and was happy with him I'd try to see if something happened to him. Maybe the people at e-bay could help. But if this is the first time I'd contact him again like I said and tell him if you don't hear from him you're gonna give him a bad rating. No sellers on e-bay want those bad ratings showing. If they get too many bad ratings people won't buy from them and they can lose certain privileges on e-bay. I'm not a real big seller on there but my ratings or 100% positive.

He could just be out of town or have company or for some other reason not be able to get on the computer. Maybe his computer crashed or something. If he has that good of a rating, I'm sure there is a reason. Does your neighbor know of any other way to contact him?

That's a good rating Doreen. I'd keep trying to reach him. I think you've covered your bases enough that he can't give YOU a bad rating.

I didn't see this until now and you have already done what I would of suggested, that you get his contact info. Send him one more email and if no response, give him a call. No sense in reporting him until all avenues are taken. Could be like you said that he needs help from his daughter to get on the pc. I know it's irritating and you want some sort of acknowledgement but have patience. I'm waiting for something I just recently bought off eBay and have not heard one thing from the seller except for the form letter from eBay thanking me for my payment. Very irritating.

Worst case --- you can't get in touch with him --- and you don't pay. It can be left in limbo for a while --- perhaps both sides would agree to a neutral rating if you end up not completing the sale. I'd just wait it out a few more days --- see if he gets in touch with you - otherwise use that phone number. There's most likely a good reason why he's not getting back with you.

Glad it all worked out for you in the end Doreen.
I'm still not sure what i think of ebay. I have an account and have sold a few things and someone tried to rip me off when i was selling a cell phone. Luckily, i had read before about this scam, so need details were given out by me and it was dealt with very well by ebay......I also bought my son a game for his PC, 2 weeks ago off ebay. The disc is faulty but the seller was most unhelpful and i've just left my first ever negative feedback for someone (which i hated doing)
So now i'm wondering if the whole ebay thing is worth it

I've spent a bit of money on ebay. Some good deals, bought some things that were obviously impulsive and I've never used.
I left a negative feedback a couple years ago.
The lady took 6 weeks to ship to me and said it was my fault because I didn't give her the right address for UPS.. BS... That is in my ebay profile which she has access to when I paid her.
She went on vacation and didn't ship it, but didn't want to admit it. She said UPS couldn't deliver it and it was floating around in there system for 2 weeks before she got it back and it arrived back at her place just the day after she went on a 2 week vacation.
They were little baby horse blankets and by the time I got them they wouldn't fit.
I sold them the next year for a $35 profit each.
Still marked me with negative because of course when I left negative, so did she.

I just remembered once that I bought a purse that was not leather and yet I had email copies of her telling me it was. Ebay refunded my money. I had to send them a number to prove I returned the item and she didn't give me my money ..PLUS shipping, but ebay did. The seller has to come good.

Fortunately I have never had any problems and never been stitched up either. I have spent small amounts and large amounts of money, but never ever had a problem with any seller. I've never sold anything as I am wary of doing so

Living out in the boonies like we do, eBay has been a lifesaver! Beats driving 150mi. round trip. We even remodeled our bathroom off eBay. The only thing I didn't buy was the paint, bought the wallpaper though. And I bought the shower curtain locally. We got a brand new ceramic sink for a penny, $20.00 shipping UPS (the sucker was very heavy!). When our last granddaughter was born, I bought 10 brand new outfits with the tags still on them for $80.00 and the least expensive one was priced on the tag at $35.00 and the most expensive was $55.00!
We did have one problem with a buyer but in the end everything came out OK. When we've sold anything since we always get a confirmation number! You just have to check out their feed back and communicate. It really irritates me when a seller doesn't list the shipping, if I email them for a quote and they don't answer I refuse to buy it even if I really want it. We bought a Fellowes cordless keyboard and mouse, brand new for $25.00 two years ago and love it! I think it was getting so that I was shopping just because I was bored but, since joining here I hardly ever buy anymore unless it's something we really need. JFTFOI has definitely saved me money! I do love to snipe though! At first we thought maybe that was wrong but have since learned that people do it all the time.

Glad to heard we're saving you money JoAnne. LOL ;D
I've sold a little bit on e-bay too. I haven't for awhile now but wanna get back into it. As a seller I try to be as honest and as quick to respond to buyers as I can. I once sold an item and before I recieved payment from the buyer Debbie told me I had the item listed wrong. I contacted the buyer right away and told them about it. She was very happy I did that and still bought the item, in fact she bought two. I don't have a lot of ratings but what I have is at 100% and all the comments I have say how good a seller I was and how quick I shipped their item. I intend on keeping it that way even if I have to take a loss just to keep a customer happy.
