It could be my Computer because a couple of my usual programmes take ages to open, even when clicked in the all programmes section.
I have Google set as my home page, the version where I have a custom page, with various gadgets like international clocks and the local weather.
Lately, after checking my Emails and going back to google by clicking the Home icon (huose drawing) on the tool bar, before google arrives properly it jumps back to Email, it just did it about 5 times, I had to open another tab to get here, I went back to the Email tab and clicked home, again, this time it stayed at google. Yesterday FireFox kept freezing and I think that I re-booted 4 or 5 times.
I am running XP Pro.
Any ideas/suggestions please.
Mike.

try starting firefox in Safemode.
right click on the Firefox and it should give you options of browse, ff OPtions, and start in safe mode. I have had to do that and reset things and all seems ok next time It starts. easier than reinstalling it in case it got a bug.

Thank you Doreen,
I didn't find what you said, but I was able to scan firefox with two different AV Programmes, they found nothing. I also scanned with a booster. It has behaved since, so I will never know where the problem really came from.

Mine is at the top of my start MENU in Windows XP.. I think if you have a desktop icon it works the same. not sure but you may find a better explanation. Mine is at the top of the start menu as it is my default browser. Run in safe mode without loading any toolbars etc. cleans it up and then restart. glad to know all is well.

Hi Doreen,
I am running XP Pro, but I don't get what you are showing me. Late last year I went back to an earlier version because of freezing and closing down of firefox, that may be the reason, although I think it is the XP that works when you right click on anything.
I will go end get the latest firefox and see if it any better.
Thank you for your time and suggestions.
Mike.
