I installed it a few weeks ago and then later realised that there was a tremendous amount of hard drive activity every time I browsed with chrome. Then I discovered that my music players, both WMP and CD player kept breaking up and skipping a few seconds. At first I thought the problem lay with my sound card but by sheer chance I logged in to my wife's desktop and found that there were no sound problems at all. After a bit of thought I uninstalled Google Chrome and Hey Presto! everything was back to normal. It seems to be a bit of a resource hog. It won't be back on my PC.

Since the great worm scare I've been using the OPERA browser. Very light weight and easy to catch onto with none of the vulnerability issues of Windows Exp. based browsers and overlays. You can take a look at it here: www.opera.com/download/

I once loaded Chrome on my system, and found that while I normally had 65-75% free memory, with Chrome I was down in the teens! It came off, immediately, and getting rid of it all was no mean feat, either. It took less than ten minutes to download and install, and upwards of two hours to get it all cleaned off my system!
Not again!

I never installed it and after reading this, I certainly won't be.

I use Firefox all them time now. I find that it even displays on my laptop screen better than I.E. I only use I.E. when I am testing something for my website that needs to work in both browsers
