They are fingerless gloves Deb. Very popular right now and a huge seller. A lot of people like them when their hands get cold typing in the winter or even in air conditioned offices in the summer. I have Raynauds, so my hands get flat out painful in the cold. This pattern was very pretty and a lovely knit, the yarn is pure Merino wool and silk. I haven't finished the right glove yet, you can see them on the needles in the picture. Makes a nice change from socks.

Pretty pattern Susan. Nice job. I think they'd probably go over well down here for hunters. It's not bitter cold here in the winter, but the guys still need gloves while sitting. This would free their trigger finger. You'd have to make them without the open back (too femmie) and out of camo yarn.

I love them Susan. I also have some trouble with Raynauds. Did you find the pattern on the web?

Over here they have these, but with an extra 'finger hood' bit attached that you can slip on or off the four main fingers, depending on what you're doing. They were a smash hit this winter...we had snow!
