I'm looking for a set of the original Yard Jarts game, the ones with the metal tips. These were banned in the USA years back because to many people were getting hurt with them. Does anyone have an old set they'd like to sell??

The Jarts are like big darts about a foot or more longer and there's two rings you lay on the ground about 25-30 ft apart. Each player has to Jarts and you stand at one ring and toss your Jart into the air and try to get it in the ring thats opposite you to get points. It was always a good yard game to play while drinking beer, but to many people got drunk and couldn't get out of the way of incoming Jarts, or didn't see them and got hit in the head with them. LOL ;D ;D They were banned in the USA years ago. I used to have a set and it really is a lot of fun to play, but you do have to be careful and it's not a game for kids.

Thanks, never heard of it. I'll keep my eyes open for you. I've heard of lawn darts though. It does sound kind of dangerous but, do you know how many people I've seen get hit in the head with a very heavy horseshoe? Especially when drinking! Had a friend really wind up with one once and when she had it over her head she let go of it, it flew behind her almost knocking our friends head off sitting on a bench about 10 feet behind her! Luckily he wasn't quite as drunk as she was and still had his reflex's going for him. ;D

I was telling my teenagers recently about the time I was playing yard jarts with a friend and my friend hit another friend in the head with the jart. Today my son asked me about it again, so I was looking up yard jarts on the internet and I saw your post. I don't know if you got your jarts yet, but my search turned up 1 set for sell on e-bay. If those are gone, you might try googling "yard jarts" There were some others for sell as well.

Thanks, I looked on Ebay before and all I could find was T-Shirts with the Yard Jards logo on them. I'll look again and see what I find.
