Simon Cowell may speak his mind on the show but he has a BIG heart. I don't know if any of you seen the Oprah show yesterday. Simone paid off a $162,000.00 mortgage with a personnel check for a family in need. It brought tears to my eyes when he did it. If you didn't see the show here is a link to the story. This family could also use a lot of prayers. www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200803/20080317/slide_20080317_350_201.jhtml

You can tell he is by some of the ways he treats some of the ones who don't make it. I think the way he talks to people is just to get their attention, and make them want to prove him wrong. I've heard people say time and again that the person they learned the most from was someone who was hard on them. I think that's true, you just try harder to prove them wrong. Thanks for sharing this, I always knew their was a softer side, I'm glad to see how nice he really is.

;D I agree. Doesn't start here for another hour and a half yet though. I'm all Beatled out. Good that Simon can show his good side. I hate when he tell the kids they are forgettable or things like that. He could say the same thing without hurting them like that. Thing is, he's usually right though! ;D

I agree also. I didn't think they should have done them last week. They said it was back by popular choice. Who's choice? I don't remember getting a choice. I don't think too many of them did that well tonight, but I think Beatles songs would be hard for most people to sing.

I like the Beatle music but I do have to agree they did not do well at all. Last week I thought was better. I heard Ryan say that they were doing the Beatles again because of all the e-mails they received from people saying they enjoyed it. I have to agree that one night was enough. I just don't think everyone can do the Beatles. It's hard to decide who I think should go this week. Kristy doesn't seem to be getting any better and has already been in the bottom. Ramiele seems to be getting worse instead of improving. I like Brooke but last night I didn't like when she kept talking when the judges were trying to talk to her. I think she was awful last night and I really think she knew it and didn't want to hear the judges commits. I really liked David Cook, Michael and Jason. Syesha was really good last night but I don't know if she was good enough to make it much longer. I wasn't crazy about what Carly sang but I think she was better last night and as bad as I hate to say it I thought Amanda was OK last night. I don't like her singing but last night I thought was OK. I also think that David A is staying the same and if he doesn't show improvement he may go sooner than he thinks. I think the voting is changing to popularity rather than talent.

Actually she was trying to get the crowd to stop booing Simon. She really wanted to hear what they said, but the crowd will never let Simon just say what he wants, they always boo all the way through whatever he says, unless he's complimenting someone. I thought she did all right, though not as good as usual. Her voice is still better than a lot of them, especially Amanda. I just wish they had gone with someone besides the Beatles.

they finally got it right tonight......IMO They sure did! I'm so happy to see they are doing Neil Diamond music one week! Yeah! Was anyone surprised by Carly being in the bottom three? I don't like watching her just because that tattoo is so distracting, but I think she has a good voice, and I wouldn't have put her in the bottom three.

I'm not surprised that Amanda left, but Carly in the bottom three?? WTH were they thinking? That's nuts. I don't mind the tattoo. At least it's on her, and not one of my kids! ;D Did I just imagine that Kelly Pickler looks like she's had a boob job?

Why would she need a face job at her age? ???I do think she had the boob job, OR is wearing water bras. I met a woman who's daughter works at Hooters and she said they all wear water bras, because they look a lot larger, which means larger tips. Did you hear Ryan when she was being introduced making some reference to her boob job? Of course, we all know you wouldn't look Steve.

Mine too Steve. I tease my husband that was one of the reasons he liked me, because I had Neil Diamond albums when we met. He was, and is a huge fan! We've seen him in concert several times, and even left at 4 a.m. one time to stand in line to get good tickets. Have you ever been to one of his concerts? They're awesome!
