If you need help figuring out how to do something around here, there are a couple ways to get help.
1. You can click "help" near the top of the page --- then click "member guide" on the page that loads. That is a video walk through of some basic things.
2. Ask another board member for assistance. If it's a general question, feel free to post it as a new thread. It would probably be best to put it in the "playground" area for the fastest response. If you're shy, or feel like it's a stupid question, don't worry about it!! You can PM one of the staff members for assistance as well. We won't tell anybody! I'm sure most (if not all) of the other members would be more than willing to help as well.

I need help in posting a link.. Not just copy paste. When you post a link that is long is won't always work. I want to be able to put it in like you do when it only says. "CLICK HERE"... that type of link. I can't seem to find information on that anywhere. thanks

Thanks, but that looks even longer! lol
Chris can do it, as I've seen his. I click on the globe as well and can't get it to work for me.
I've seen others as well, can't remember who.

1. CLICK THE HYPER LINK BUTTON (SECOND FROM LEFT, SECOND ROW) 2. AFTER THE FIRST url before bracket, insert = and Paste your link. Follow that bracket with your text, leaving /url in brackets on the end.

You're welcome. I tried posting the actual way it looks, but of course it posted the final outcome rather than how it would look.
Let me know if you have a problem. Took me a couple of tries to remember how it's done.

By popular demand, I've got some help! Sorry I wasn't in here earlier to help.
Anyway --- for your "Click here" type link, just look at the attached image --- I'm just taking a screen shot of the way it looks as text -- I believe that's the easiest way to do it. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions on it though! I find that "usually" fixes the broken long links that get posted. Sometimes it makes "CLICK HERE" show up something like "C LICK HERE" instead, but that's just an odd little glitch in the system.

It is not showing hogndog. You need to host your picture through tinypic.com, photobucket, etc. Then copy the one with just the http:// code. Paste that link into the section for Avatar. Remember to save (MODIFY) at the bottom. This is how mine currently looks: Click to view full image

As you can see I have it set for holiday, but no shamrocks appear. I have had the other backgrounds and colors no problems, I have not changed any settings.
